The animation was....i have seen worst,and tbh it wasnt bad exactly, had nice movements overall, but the models are ugly in my opinion, and the faces are very derpy :/
And the story is very interesting having tristan as its focus, and some interesting plot twists, like deathpierce, never liked that guy, hope they kill him in part 2 of the movie :v

Yeah CGI is not good felt like i was watching a storyline in a RPG game

everything today is CGI. what you are complaining about is the style of animation (3D animation).
perfectly fine to complain about it but don't use CGI in that way, it doesn't make sense. as nearly all animation is done on computers, 2d, 3d or anything else really.
with that said, it is very hard to get 3d to look good and even harder to get the animations to have the same feeling as normal 2d animation.

I feel bad for the fandom, they must be so upset of what has become of this series.

It really is bad to be honest. I was one of the enthusiastic fan of 7DS anime seeing the first season while it's airing myself and the second season made me love the series even more. But that sudden studio change that dropped the animation quality broke my heart and just made me hope for a change but it was all for naught with the latter seasons just not on par with the first two (I already moved on from 7ds at this point so don't call me a fake fan for that). It still is a great shame that a once marvelous series full of adventure was dragged unto the mud.

I think the majority just outright abandoned the anime full stop. If anything i feel bad for the mangaka who's watching his work get dragged through the mud.

sorry to brake it to you... the diff in animation is big. Cgi always felt distant, unloving and uncaring. Most of the time cgi`s are clanky and robotic aaand this is why a lot of people do not like this animation method. You do have the right to your opinion but that same right does not give your opinion immunity from beein a shity one ;) In this case it is just a matter of numbers. Normaly you would have a minimum of 600 to over a thousand comments here when the series was in its prime. A good anime has the feel of love put in it, cgi just breaks that immersion and fantasy settings are the last ones that should rely on cgi...those two just do not mesh well. There are really only a few exceptions...this one is not it.

The CGI isn't terrible, actually better than most CGI animes. However, the movement and action is way better than what we got in the later half of the series.

I haven't watched it yet but the trailer gave me the same impression. Like why CGI? Dragon Quest did it well but used it sparingly. I never watched the Berserk that used CGI. It looks funny in this as well from what I've seen.

I just clicked to watch a few minutes and see how bad the animation was even though I don't watch nanatsu no taizai, but honestly this is not bad at all. The only problem is that some characters look weird in full 3D, but the CGI itself looks very smooth and characters are expressive. They utilise dynamic camera angles in fight scenes too. From what little I saw, it's not bad.

It's perfectly fine I agree. Some people will always complain when a show is not made in their favourite style. Fortunately we can always ignore comments and check it out ourselves.

I gotta say I was immediately turned away but Because I loved deadly sins I decided to give it a go anyway and I'm glad I did the story line itself and the characters and how they reacted each other definitely kept me invested I like it Definitely different though I think better than most With this particular style

Tbh I don't really get why so many people hate anime in 3d. Sure I've seen plenty with low quality, but when it's decently good like here I see no reason for the hate, but then again I'm old and I've seen so much bad CG and 3d animation over the years that even berserk2016 looks fine to me.

I would say it was pretty good. Prefer it in comparison to the original's terrifyingly bad animation during it s later seasons. Cant wait for more

yes, all those 2nd...n-th generation milking are just too much.

The thing is, in this case the mangaka had always aimed for this 2nd generation story; he has a huge passion for the Arthurian legendarium(Arthurian heroes and villains even feature in other, more slice-of-life works of his) and other old stories(there's some Mabinogion in this franchise too) from the British Isles, and when he wrote Nanatsu no Taizai, he was building back from the Mokushiroku no Yonkishi's main cast adopted from the rl Arthurian lore. He even loves working with these sets of legends and pieces of old European literature cause there's so many versions of them and he can get inspiration from several, then mix and match details and adjust things to his Japanese vision.

Yeah at least studio Deen is not doing the productions in this like remember how terrible they did in the fight scenes for both seasons 3 and 4

Its till I started reading comments that I discovered the hate for the animation quality of seven deadly sins.
I've always been watching the anime with full appreciation, and it blinds my eyes to whatever. And even when I look back, I still don't see anything wrong. Maybe because of mindset and probably because my eyes have gotten use to poor animation (if its actually poor)

Guess I'm the only one in saying this but the 3D animation so far isn't that bad specifically the character models. In my opinion this is the best looking one so far compared to other 3D anime. They managed to keep the anime looking flat but you can tell it's 3D cause of its uncanny appearance. Their facial expressions are also very fluid and expressive with a nice range of movement.

As far as 3D anime goes I think this is a step in the right direction. But I still wish that 2D remains the norm for anime.
